At Loop Talent, it’s important to us that we do what we can to encourage diversity, inclusion, and progression within our industry. We’ve joined forces with the charity Arts Emergency to offer some of their young people from diverse and typically underrepresented communities in the industry a subscription to the Crew diary service as a trainee in their chosen department.

In this year’s cohort, we have invited four young people to join Loop Talent, three people in the camera team, and one person in the costume department as trainees.

Meet our successful applicants…

Alexander Teng

Jamie Beckford

Kimberly Johnson

Lucas Munoz-Greiz

The costume department welcomes Alexander Teng

Alex has recently finished University after studying Electronic Engineering.  He has experience working on small theatre shows but his main ambition is to work on high-end TV & Film. Inspired by Vogue high fashion costumes from the 40/50s to modern-day streetwear, Alex loves seeing how society’s style is constantly inspired by history and the past.

Jamie Beckford

After studying film at both GCSE & A-Level, Jamie has been keen to expand horizons and seize opportunities to enter and learn about the Film & TV industry. After making two short films with friends, Jamie is eager to develop his camera technique and to discover his own sense of style in the camera department.

Kimberly Johnson

Whilst completing 2 years of A-Level Study, Kimberly has actively been seeking opportunities to learn and enter the film & tv industry whether that be through taking part in short courses, attending workshops, masterclasses and creating her own opportunities by working on her own projects. With an interest in both acting and filmmaking, Kimberly is keen to develop her technical skills in the camera department.

Lucas Munoz-Greiz

Lucas is fresh out of sixth form and enjoying a gap year to explore job opportunities within the filming industry before he heads off to University. With a particular interest in photography and fashion, he hopes to carve out a career in the camera department.

In addition to joining the diary service, we’re partnering these trainees with some of the Loop Talent HODs to offer mentoring and experience on set (covid permitting). We’re so thrilled to play a part in helping our new recruits break into the industry and gain new opportunities.

Please get in touch with Crew Manager Daisy if you’d like to book any of our trainees.
