About
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design from Gray’s School of Art.
Skills: Extensive dressmaking, illustration and textile dying experience.
Inspiration: Honestly, what inspires and drives me most is the end result of each project. I always imagine myself as the viewer — and while I truly love every step of the process, it’s the final outcome that really excites me. The idea that something I’ve worked on could entertain, educate, or simply offer someone a moment of escape — that’s what thrills me the most. Being part of that experience is such a privilege.
Career High: My career high and the real breakthrough moment for me was getting that call from Ken Loach to design Sweet Sixteen. It was an incredible honour and truly the start of everything. I’m eternally grateful to both Ken and Paul Lafferty for trusting me with such a powerful piece of work — and I’ve been lucky enough to continue working with Sixteen Films ever since.
Sweet Sixteen was the project where I really learned how to observe people and life, and how to fuse those observations with my design and creative instincts. Everything I’ve done since has been shaped by what I learned on that film.
