About
Education
I studied Fine Art at the University of Salford . At age 21 I was lucky enough to learn from the talented editor Jake Bernard. That apprenticeship taught me not just how to cut, but also the etiquette and rhythm of a cutting room, lessons that still guide how I work today.
Skills
I edit primarily in Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro. But for me, it’s not about the software it’s about storytelling. I aim to create moments where the audience is completely drawn in, feeling every emotion without noticing the cuts. Beyond editing, I’m a governor for BFE and a Mental Health First Aider. I’m passionate about mental health and well-being, and on every project I work on, I’m committed to supporting my colleagues and fostering a positive, safe working environment.
Inspiration
I’m inspired by dramas that pull you in completely. Shows like Breaking Bad are a perfect example how the pacing and editing make every tense moment hit harder, making you feel the story from the inside out.
Career High
One of the proudest moments in my career was working with the late Kay Mellor. Collaborating with her made me feel like a true part of the storytelling team. Her trust and respect showed me how much an editor can shape a story and left me with a deep appreciation for collaboration in TV-making.
