About
Education
I studied filmmaking and editing at Ireland’s national film school.
Skills
I work primarily with Avid but can also use Premiere and have previously used Lightworks and Final Cut. I also trained as a sound editor and have extensive experience of working with VFX.
Languages
Basic French and German. But one of my jobs had a multi-lingual cast speaking French, German, Polish and Mancunian and I had no difficulty working with the mix.
Inspiration
I became interested in filmmaking at a young age when I saw a Raiders of the Lost Ark making of documentary on TV but it was only later that I realised I could actually do this for a living. Favourite films include Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dr Strangelove, and Paris, Texas as well as a wide mix of literary favourites including Catch 22, Black Dogs and The Talented Mr Ripley.
Career High
Working with great people on great projects is always a pleasure and I’ve been lucky enough to do that several times already – and I hope to add more highs in the future.
