Luke is an experienced 1st Assistant Camera based in London. Beginning his journey on film sets in 2014, Luke has worked across many areas of the industry, with a diverse portfolio spanning both long-form and short-form content.
Raised in Malawi, Luke began his career as a trainee in documentaries, before relocating to the UK and moving into the narrative and commercial worlds.
As a Focus Puller, Luke is a calm and collected presence on set, never compromising on detail or precision. With experience in digital as well as 16&35mm, Luke has a broad expertise in all technical equipment, including a vast knowledge of the Ronin 2. Luke is always down for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, to achieve new and exciting shots. This has resulted in Ronins fixed to backpacks, 32 camera array rigs on cars, periscopes on hi-speed cameras in AR rigs, just to name a few.
With an ever growing skill in 3D printing, Luke can design accessories and tools for job specific scenarios, and is already equipped with an arsenal of creations to help solve the ongoing problems faced on set.
Whether it’s tracking vehicles in the desert or football on the fields of Ted Lasso, Luke knows how to do it all (and everything in between).
