Joshanne Dar is a London-based Art Director and Standby Art Director working across film, television, commercials, fashion, exhibitions, and events.
She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2021 with a degree in Fine Art, specialising in sculpture, film, and time-based mediums. While beginning her art direction career on short films and music videos, she co-founded Artsect Gallery – an independent gallery space operating out of the Tram Depot in Clapton – before pivoting to art direction full-time.
With over eight years of industry experience, Joshanne has delivered projects for major clients including Netflix, Apple TV, BBC, Nike, and Puma. She brings a highly versatile hands-on skill set to the art department, spanning 3D modelling, graphic design, video editing, and carpentry, alongside comprehensive project management.
Joshanne is drawn to projects with distinct creative integrity, and scripts that challenge visual world-building. She is motivated by strong narrative vision and the opportunity to craft immersive, detailed environments across both high-end productions and independent cinema.
