Based in London for over a decade, Jay is a bilingual 1st AC with a background in film and photography. Originally from Canada, he is a native English and French speaker, bringing an international outlook and an ability to work comfortably with different crews, cultures and productions.
With his background in film studies and photography, Jay has always been drawn to the craft of visual storytelling and its technical side. His work ranges from commercials, feature films and television series to music videos, promos and corporate productions, both in the UK and internationally.
Calm and composed, technically minded and collaborative on set, Jay enjoys the balance of precision and problem-solving that comes with working as a 1st AC. He takes pride in being someone a camera team can rely on, while staying engaged with the creative side of the work and the bigger picture of how an image comes together.
Comfortable working across different formats, crews and shooting environments, Jay is equally at home on larger productions and smaller, fast-moving shoots and always welcomes a challenge.
