Amy is a London-based Hair and Makeup Artist who came to the industry after a 17-year career in television building streaming platforms for broadcasters including Channel 5, Viacom and Discovery. After retraining at Delamar Academy in 2022, she moved into film, theatre and live performance, beginning as a trainee on Hamnet.
Amy is particularly drawn to period work, wigs and SFX, and loves the process of building characters visually. Her interest in transformation started early, sparked by the iconic makeover scene in Mrs. Doubtfire.
Since retraining she has worked across film, television, opera and musical theatre, with work taking her as far as China. Known for staying calm under pressure, Amy brings a practical, collaborative approach on set along with a healthy sense of humour when things get hectic.
Once Amy gets an idea in her head she tends to run with it. That instinct also led her to create HMU Collective, a platform supporting new hair and makeup artists as they begin their careers.
